"Above The Storm" is an original high texture abstract oil painting measuring 20 x 20 x 1.5 inches, painted with an oil palette knife and using professional grade oil paint.

The Inspiration: Much of my work plays on the elements of texture and movement, pieces like “Above The Storm” specifically emphasize the textural elements that naturally come along with oil paintings. Using an oil paint palette knife, each stroke retains its shape and texture; the repetitive motion is always a very therapeutic process for me.
