HELLO HELLO,
First, I’d like to say welcome and thank you for stoping by.
HOW IT STARTED:
Meredith B. Studios came to life in 2015 while I was living in my hometown, DeMotte, IN. After being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis the year prior I was in desperate need for something in my life that could bring me distraction, comfort, and control. I spent many of my early painting days describing this reunion with art and painting like it was a phenomenon outside of my control: “I didn’t turn to painting, painting seemed to find me when I needed it most… like a lost friend.”
What started with an old oil paint set and 3 canvases set up in the corner of my bedroom quickly exceeded my expectations, became a business, brought me to a new city, and helped me start a life that felt happy, authentic, and fulfilling.
HOW IT’S GOING:
I split my days between being a therapist and an artist. As a mental health therapist, I help others find their way to healthier and happier lives. As an artist, I am still constantly exploring how to express, understand, create, and grow as a human being and creator. Much of my artwork explores the elements of movement, texture, and emotional expression: ”My hope is not to be seen, but to be experienced.”
