"Honeysuckle Summer" is an original high texture abstract oil painting measuring 8 x 10 inches on a canvas panel, matted to a frame size of 11 x 14, painted using a firm bristle brush, cold wax, and oil paint.

The painting is sealed with a final coat of gloss varnish for protection.

The Inspiration: Much of my work plays on the elements of texture and movement, pieces like "Honeysuckle Summer” specifically emphasize the textural elements that naturally come along with oil paintings. Using only one firm-bristled brush, each brush stroke retains its shape and texture; the repetitive motion and descending intensity from dark to light is always a very therapeutic process for me.
